1st year is over! (Easter, shoots, exams, etc..)

right. 

haven't updated for quite a while hor... 

well...... Easter break, i spent with my dear friend Roy!! 

went to Coventry.....was spoiled by him with lots of great food! =D 

and we also made a trip to Glasgow to visit Lester n CM. 

other happenings: 

African themed dinner with them... =) 

photoshoot for FAME magazine. =) 

 exam period!!!!

this is us...."studying". 

XD 

studying makes us hungry.. so we made a trip to McD. =) 

scary n tearful trip...but that's a whole other story. =X 

VRE....

a glamorous night.... getting awards and hanging out with friends. 

and now.... with exams done....

first year of uni is officially over!!!

and now it's time for my summer holidays....

i miss you. (200 days and counting)

woahh.... i've been away from home for 200 days ONLY!
wah liao...feels as if i have been here in the UK for years. mana tahu, it's just 200 days. =.=zz

well, my first year of uni is almost over! i cant believe it has passed so so fast.
soon, it's exam times. *eeeekk*
and then,...it'll be SUMMER!!!
summer only lasts 3 months tho... =(
then it'll be the start of second year! gahhh......


I miss home.
I miss my family.
I miss ZH.
I miss church.
I miss my cell group.
I miss my friends.
I miss my students.
and...I MISS THE FOOD!!!!

ahhh...... i LOVE food. =) 

and i love cooking.... 

no, not because i love cutting onions or slicing chicken.. not because i love smell my hair gets after i fry stuff... n definitely not because i enjoy washing the dishes. 

it's because i love to eat the food...that's why i love to cook so much. HEHE!

well here are some of my dinners these past two weeks. =)

 well... all that good food..... 

is the reason i have recently joined the GYM! 

yay.... been going to the gym everyday.. 

i work out.. sweat my butt off...

why??

SO I CAN EAT MORE!

it's a cycle of eat-gym-eat..... =D

Belgium trip... 17-22 Dec

i made a short trip to Belgium to go see my aunts and uncles and cousins...

Jenn sent me off to the bus stop on 17th Dec. =D 

took the train across the English Channel to Oostende! 

it snowed so much during those few days! 

my aunt's white garden...

i was spoilt by my aunt!!

she made all sorts of Malaysian food for me... heheheeee... XD 

she made her own roti canai!!! yummm

uncle cooked Hainanese Chicken Rice for me... mmmm!!

made from fresh snow..... heee...

chocolate cakes and ice cream... 

totally enjoyed my time at Belgium!

spent most of my days just sleeping and eating! 

had a really relaxing trip... =)

realised that being a 'boring' uni student has paid off... 

and others see it as a 'witness'. 

not sure if it's a good thing though. haha...

=.=  being a Christian must seem so boring to them. 

but, being a Christian is more than just NOT doing stuff. 

i hope they see the things that i DO also as a witness too..... =)

i cant wait to go home.  

life is not an easy road.

i just finished doing an assignment. amazed at myself. HAHA..

gosh. learning to live on my own, being independent.. IT'S SO HARD!

i gotta buy food and cook for myself.... no mommy or popo to buy groceries and cook for me everyday.

do my own laundry... no kakak....

keep my room neat n tidy.  again, NO KAKAK! i realize that i have been so spoilt. =X 

do my work.... >.< this is the hardest of all.. because it's so hard to find motivation to sit down, read, research n write essays.... gahhh. so much easier to sit back, relax, eat ice cream and watch HIMYM. =D

make sure i stay close to God. yea....this is quite hard for me too. being away from home church. away from my cell group. sometimes, will forget to do devotion.....lazy..or tired...or any excuse la. but i'm glad i've found a good church to go to here, and also good CU friends! =)

i miss home so much!
the comfort of being at home.. everything done for you. no worries about your money... >.< or house... or anything at all. sigh. 
but i'm learning day by day how to handle myself. =) how to deal with problems that i have never faced before.. like fridge being empty and having to run out to buy food otherwise no dinner. >.<
or learning to take bus by myself. i'm terrible with public transport. always getting lost... lol. 

but other than that, i'm quite enjoying this adventure than i'm in.
it's a learning experience for me.......
builds my faith. independence. and most of all, appreciation n gratitude for the little things that i took forgranted back home. like:: being able to drive everywhere......food always on the table and in the fridge...my bed always made and clothes washed.....and most of all, FAMILY.

weekend exasperation..

it's my first weekend alone on campus.

didn't go anywhere... or go out.

well..... was supposed to go to have a day out with friends to picnic and fly kites.

but oh no...i decided to be a good girl and stay back, go to the library and study! =.=

well.....was typing away on a computer in the LRC's computer lab.... had written more than 500 words of an assignment.

then...OMG! the computer hangs and it resarts by itself.

i sat there....stunned. NO!!!!!!!!! 

sigh. 

the ONE day that i had the mood to study...the ONE time i was feeling like working hard...and THIS happens.

GAHHH!!!!!!! i nearly went crazy..... 

well.... terus no mood la!! so i got up, and started packing up my stuff to storm back to my house. NO MOOD. dont wana study liao!!! hmph.

but as i was putting on my coat, saw Richard sitting at a comp nearby. and he smiled and said HI. 

dono why.....but i terus felt a bit calmer and smiled back. maybe cuz happy to see a familiar face.

then chat with him for a while and walked home. >.< 

decided to go to ASDA. bought 2 pots of Ben&Jerry's ice cream. i HAD to... 

was too stressed...too upset.....too MAD. grrrrrrrrrrr.... 

sigh. 

well..that's my saturday for you. =.= 

Weekend with Roy..

ahh... it's been 19 days since i left Malaysia.

well...... let me tell you about my weekend. =)

took the train to Coventry to visit Roy.

stayed with him for a few days.. what did we do?? 

we went to eat.. of course! XD

sightsee.. 

ate...MORE...

drove to Birmingham to visit Sam..

ate at awesome Chinese restaurants.. 

window shopped...

watch movies...watched about 5 the whole weekend i think. 

went to church...

ate more food...

yeap. 

that was basically what we did. 

was very well fed by Roy as you can see. =D 

oh well, i'll just show you some pics....

ahh...yes.

it's my third day of living the independent life!

well, what did i do on this blessed day?

woke up quite early... 

did my assignments... yes, unbelievable hor? 

did laundry...

cooked my lunch!!

when i say cooked, i really mean took the frozen meal out of the freezer n popped it into the oven. 

XD

everyone asks me

"how are you?"

"how's life in the UK??"

and as usual...i always answer "oh..fine." =) 

but..

I MISS HOME!! >.< 

i want some good ol' home-cooked food!!!!!!!!!!! 

someone FedEx me my grandma, could you? i miss her cooking so so much

and also my bed and bathroom....?? and maybe a tv with Astro.. 

please include cups of teh tarik and big bowls of laksa in the parcel as well..

please?????????????????

then after that, met up with cousin Andrew and went to lunch.

cousin works for J.C.... brought us to see one of the shops.

like whoooaahh.... really cool. heh..but....>.< cant afford.

the start of something new....

i have been in England for a week already! =)

finally moved into my room properly...and finally have some time to upload some pics. 

well i'm at the University of Hertfordshire.

staying on campus in the student village... =) 

this is my house....i share it with 6 other students. 

my cosy little room. =) 

cooked and ate my first dinner in the house with mom. XD

St. Albans...

really pretty town! love it here... and tons of shopping malls. hehe...

this is just one street that i thought looked very "English". XP 

wont show you the malls and stuff.....you can see enough of that in KK/KL/anywhere else in the world...

the famous cathedral at St Albans. it is HUGE!

those of you who know the House of Prayer in Tawau..well, it's twice as long as the HOP!

imagine...huge oh! n so amazing inside. 

it's over 300 years old man! 

must visit if you ever pass by. =) 

i'll be your guide. heh... 

uni life has not "really" started yet...

first week of lectures is over.... some assignments to do but overall still pretty relaxed.

gotta start my independent life!
